Today is a very special day in the world of Poohsticks. Today the lovable Winnie-The-Pooh turns 90 years old.
With just over a week until the 2016 World Poohsticks Championships are upon us, Pooh bear shares with us a selection of books that he recommends.
Wow, what a busy week it was for Winnie-the-Pooh. Everybody from newspapers to television was talking about this special day, which remembers A.A. Milne’s life and work. Today we are doubly excited. Today we celebrate the birth of the creator of Winnie-the-Pooh and we can now officially reveal the date of the World Poohsticks Championships 2016!
The world’s only photograph of the toy bear that inspired AA Milne’s creation of Winnie the Pooh has been uncovered in a family archive.
After 31 years of Championships on the River Thames at Day’s Lock in Little Wittenham, we will be moving to Witney!
The Championships will be run in partnership with Cogges Manor Farm, at Langel Common on the River Windrush.

We had players in fancy dress, we had people celebrating their birthdays and mother’s day with us, and it was beautiful sunny day which always helps.
